Nikki Allan

Mental Health Occupational Therapist

Nikki is a Mental Health Accredited Occupational Therapist who is passionate about supporting young people and families navigating challenging life stages. Nikki works using a holistic and relationship-oriented approach that is tailored to the individual needs of the young person and family. Her interventions aim to support and foster the growth of the young person and strengthen their support networks. She has a special interest in working with neurodiverse adolescents and young children with emotion regulation and attachment difficulties.
 
Nikki draws on a wide range of therapy modalities such as Sensory Modulation, Family Therapy, Theraplay® and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) that are geared towards meaningful change and nervous system regulation. She also works alongside a trained Therapy Dog, Ollie, and is trained in providing Animal-Assisted Therapy (AAT). Nikki is also a Circle of Security Parenting (COSP) Facilitator and has completed training in Theraplay ® Level 1.
 
Nikki is now providing clinic-based services at Castle Hill. She also supports families in rural areas and offers tele-health services. She is also able to provide occasional home and school visits where clinically appropriate. Nikki provides services under the Medicare Better Access to Mental Health Care Scheme and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) – self and Plan managed clients.
