Theunis (Tony) Vorster

Psychologist

Theunis offers an accepting and nonjudgmental therapy room where clients can talk honestly and express difficult emotions. He is experienced in working with clients from many different cultures and all walks of life, both in Australia and South Africa. His research for his Masters degree included identifying cultural narratives and he is very interested in hearing the stories and memories clients think about. Theunis has an integrative therapy approach – meaning he draws on different psychological models to match the type of therapy with the client’s main issue as well as the way they make sense of themselves and the world around them (see specific therapies below). His main focus is helping clients process trauma, adverse events or anxiety and helping clients build their emotional regulation and social skills (see areas of interest below).  Theunis works with adults and young people (12+), offering psychotherapy in English and Afrikaans.  

Theunis completed his psychology training in South Africa in 2013 and holds the following degrees:

  • Master of Arts degree (Clinical Psychology).


  • Honours degree (Psychology)


  • Bachelor of Arts (Psychology and English)
